What remote viewing is
Remote viewing is the production of information about a target hidden from the viewer, under conditions that rule out every ordinary explanation. The definition is procedural. What makes a result remote viewing is not how the impressions arrive, but the controls around the session.
Protocol versus method
A protocol is the set of controls that makes a result trustworthy: who knows what, when the record is sealed, when feedback is given. A method is whatever the viewer does internally to collect impressions: an altered state, a staged written structure, free-form notes. Methods are interchangeable and personal, and none has been shown to outperform another. The protocol is not negotiable. Strip it away and what remains is a generic psychic claim, not remote viewing.
Viewer 001 enforces the protocol and stays silent on method. The capture surface is deliberately free-form: sketch, write descriptors, upload paper. How you work is yours.
What makes a session valid
- The viewer is blind. No information about the target reaches the viewer before the reveal, directly or indirectly.
- Everyone else in the chain is blind too. A single participant who knows the target creates a leakage channel, even without saying a word.
- No front-loading. The tasking carries no content. A target ID is an arbitrary label with zero semantic meaning.
- The record is sealed at termination. Nothing may be added or edited afterward. A session with post-hoc additions is a blown protocol.
- Feedback comes last, after sealing and judging, and never while a target is still active.
Roles
A valid chain separates three roles: someone who holds the target, the viewer who produces data, and a judge who evaluates blind. These roles never share information while a target is live. In Viewer 001, the app holds the targets and blind peers do the judging, so the separation is structural rather than a matter of trust.
The manual describes the controls. The instrument enforces them.
